Partitioning
Home / Articles / A6ja / PartitioningI think this can be interesting, but you can jump this section if you are not searching also ideas for optimize partitions utilization (or what i mean for). The laptop comes with 3 partitions:
- Primary 1 : Recovery (hidden W95) [1.8Gb]
- Primary 2 : Windows (fat32) [30Gb]
- Primary 3 : Free Space (fat32) [all Gb]
My thought is to preserve for operative Systems the max number of primary partitions then i think that Acronis/Partition Magic/QtParted can help me to organize the disk in this way:
- Primary 1 : /dev/hda1 (hfs) - MacOSX “Maxxus Facility” [10Gb]
- Primary 2 : /dev/hda2 (ntfs) - Windows [20 Gb]
- Primary 3 : /dev/hda3 (reiserfs) - Gentoo / [10Gb] (boot)
- Ext : /dev/hda4 - Extended
- Ext 1 : /dev/hda5 Linux swap - Swap [826 Mb]
- Ext 2 : /dev/hda6 - /home [3Gb] (boot)
